My
earliest memory is of my father setting himself on fire. As a child I
ran wild in the woods; I spent my teenage years in the dark. In
university I wore feathers in my hair and walked barefoot through the
city.
I
began
making jewellery in the early 1980s from beads and found items,
including copper wire, silks and organic materials. In autumn 2005 I
finally began to work raw silver with hand tools, fire, and hammers.
I recently completed a three-year programme of study at Bristol
School of Art. My work is currently available from Happy Island,
Gloucester Road, Bristol.
I find inspiration in architecture, interior design, industrial
archaeology, electronics and art media.
Artists whose work inspires me include Vittorio Zecchin, Margaret
Mackintosh and Carlo Bugatti.
